Rebecca Martinez is the Assistant Director of the Career Center at Molloy University, where she plays a crucial role in guiding students through the job search process. Her responsibilities include reviewing resumes and cover letters, conducting mock interviews, and facilitating employer outreach. Previously, Rebecca was the Discovery Officer, fostering personal and financial engagement from alumni and establishing the Student Philanthropy Council.

Before her time at Molloy, Rebecca was the Assistant Community Relations Manager at Astoria Bank, beginning as the Marketing Support Specialist in 2008. In this capacity, she managed community programs focused on financial literacy and education, oversaw the bank’s Corporate Contributions budget, and led various corporate social responsibility initiatives. Her work resulted in the creation of strategic partnerships with prominent nonprofit organizations.

Rebecca is deeply committed to community service and actively engages in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. She has served two terms on the DEI Committee for the National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE) and is involved in multiple committees at Molloy, including those for Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month and the Leaders for Racial Justice program.

In addition to her professional commitments, Rebecca has been a Girl Scouts troop leader since October 2020 and is now mentoring her Juniors as they pursue their Bronze Award. She also manages the Mags and Munchies program and has been a member of the Board Development Committee since October 2022, contributing her expertise to preparing the annual Board slate.

Rebecca holds a BS and MBA in Marketing from St. John’s University and is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership for the Diverse Learning Community at Molloy University.
